We send our condolences to Dr. Saxe’s family and friends.” Arlington Independence Day Parade

”Saddened to learn of the passing of former UTA professor and North Texas philanthropist, Dr. Allan Saxe. His TedX talk examines his perspective about philanthropy and why he liked giving his money away – to validate his life. I was one of those people he called and offered his money to…it was for the creation of the Dr. Allan Saxe Christmas Tree. I was also lucky enough to work with his longtime partner, Ruthie Brock, while at the UTA Libraries. His legacy will be unmatched in my lifetime. Who else will have a “named” pencil sharpener? May Dr. Saxe’s legacy be a shining reminder of servant leadership and why every dollar can truly make a difference to others!” Kerri Lansford Ressl
