Ashley Elizabeth Williams Death: Williamsburg woman died after being hit by Jeep on Outer Banks

Around 1 a.m. on Friday June 14, it was reported that the Kill Devil Hills Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on US 158 near Ocean Acres Drive.  Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

What happened to Ashley Elizabeth Williams?

The preliminary investigation by the Kill Devil Hills Police Department determined a 2021 Jeep Wrangler operated by 43-year-old Crystal Laskowski of Kill Devil Hills was traveling south on US 158 in the outside travel lane. Ashley Elizabeth Williams, a 20-year-old pedestrian of Williamsburg, Virginia ran eastward into the highway, directly into the path of the Jeep Wrangler. Williams was struck by the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation determined that neither speed nor alcohol were a factor in the crash.
