Bramble Park Shooting: Cincinnati Police are investigating a shooting that happened during an event in Bramble Park. Police were dispatched around 6:30 p.m. to the 6300 block of Bramble Avenue at Bramble Park for reports of a shooting. Police said it is unclear what led up to the shooting.

What Happened In Bramble Park?

At around 6:30 p.m. at the 6300 block of Bramble Avenue at Bramble Park, a shooting was reported. The Cincinnati Police are investigating a shooting, which involved five victims.

Two witnesses at the scene of the shooting said an annual “Madisonville Day” event was happening at the park at the time of the shooting. The event had bounce houses, a DJ, a basketball competition and more. Suzann Pankala, a neighbor who lives next to the park, said her husband and her heard the gunfire, and she at first thought it was fireworks at the park’s event.

“And by then, all these people and children, a lot of children are running up from the park, and the kids are crying,” she said. “And one little girl says ‘mommy, why do we have to leave? We just got here, mommy’ and it was, it was crazy.”

Five people were shot Saturday evening during an event at a Madisonville park, Cincinnati police said. Their ages ranged from teenagers to about 40, police said. All victims are suspected to have non-life-threatening injuries, police say, but that could change. Police said it is unclear what led up to the shooting.
