According to Columbus Division of Police officers, two people were killed and two others were injured in a shooting at a nightclub in downtown Columbus early Friday morning. Officers were called to Avalon, located at 2025 North 5th Street near North 4th and Spring streets, around 1:45 a.m. after receiving multiple calls about shots being fired. Assistant Chief of Police Greg Bodker said that one person, who was a man, was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:58 a.m.
