Jim Fridell, a resident of Camden, Arkansas, died about 6:10 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2024, in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 79 north of Camden. According to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report, Fridell was driving a 2021 Ford F-150 north on the highway. His vehicle swerved into the southbound lane and struck the left front of a southbound 2012 Honda Accord, driven by Anity Anthony, 51, of Camden. The Anthony vehicle came to rest on the southbound roadside. The Fridell stopped in the inside southbound lane of U.S. 79. The wreck was north of the U.S. 278 intersection. Anthony and Fridell’s passenger, Mary Fridell, 81, were injured. They were taken to the Ouachita County Medical Center and UAMS.
