According to a Concord, ONT family, the victim struck and killed by a school bust on Wednesday morning has been identified as 6-year-old Matteo Caputi – son of Luisa, a desk receptionist at Re/Max Premier Inc. According to the boy’s family, the incident happened while he was on his way to school.
What Happened In Kleinburg Today?
A six-year-old kid was struck and killed by a school bus driver in the York Region neighborhood of Kleinburg on Wednesday morning, according to police. York police said the youngster was struck shortly before 8 a.m. on Pierre Berton Boulevard and Kleinburg Summit Way. He was pronounced dead on the spot, according to Const. James Dickson. Dickson said detectives are attempting to piece together the events behind the deadly crash.
Dickson said the driver remained at the site and is cooperating with police. The bus was in the vicinity, picking up youngsters for school, he explained. He couldn’t say if there were any children on the bus at the time of the collision. Dickson stated that any children, parents, families, teachers, and first responders affected by the boy’s death will have access to support resources. Anyone with pertinent dashcam or home security video is requested to call York police or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
