Michael Carter Jr., a coach with the Texas Throwbacks, has died. Michael was studying in the Business Administration Department at South Plains College. Carter Jr., was the brother of Olympic gold medalist and speaker Michelle Carter.

Who was Michael Carter Jr?

Carter Jr., who was a resident of Dallas, TX, was the brother of Michelle Carter, a three-time Olympian as well as a World Championship gold medalist. Michelle has excelled at the national and international levels for 20+ years. Michelle won gold at the 2016 World Indoor Championships in Portland, but her crowning achievement was at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, where she succeeded at winning the gold medal and setting the American record at the event. Michelle became the first United States female athlete to win the event since the women’s shot put competition began in 1948.

Services And Funeral Arrangements

The Wake for Michael Carter Jr will be on Friday, June 14th, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Viewing hours will start from 1:30 to 8pm at the Evergreen Funeral Home (6449 University Hills Boulevard in Dallas, TX 75241). The Funeral Services will be on Saturday, June 15th, 2024, at 11 am at  FWBC Campus, 2020 W Wheatland Rd., Dallas, TX 75232
