Stephen B. Johnson III died in a fatal motor vehicle accident. He was thrown into the roadway and subsequently struck by an Acura being operated by Manuel Rodriguez of Egg Harbor Township. The initial police investigation reveals that a Toyota being operated by Edith Ramirez-Masedas of Galloway was traveling westbound on the White Horse Pike.

Official Statement From Galloway Township Police Department

On Friday, June 7th at approximately 1:30 AM, Galloway Township Police responded to the area of West White Horse Pike near the intersection of West Jimmie Leeds Road in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon police arrival, a Toyota Rav 4 and an Acura TLX were located on scene. Police also located Stephen B. Johnson III, 19 years old, of Galloway Township, deceased, in the roadway.

Investigation Ongoing

The initial police investigation reveals that a Toyota being operated by Edith Ramirez-Masedas of Galloway was traveling westbound on the White Horse Pike. As the Toyota approached the area near West Jimmie Leeds Road, the vehicle struck Stephen B. Johnson III, who was riding an electric scooter in the lane of travel. Johnson was thrown into the roadway and subsequently struck by an Acura being operated by Manuel Rodriguez of Egg Harbor Township. This accident remains under investigation by Sergeant First Class Kevin Welsh and Officer Kaitlyn Reyes of the Galloway Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.
