Todd Keeling Omaha NE Obituary: Cocoa Beach High School graduate has died

Todd Keeling Omaha NE Obituary: Todd Matthew Keeling of Omaha, NE, has died. Todd would tell people that the path to one’s truest self is to know Jesus and follow His example of forgiveness and uplifting others along the way. He would want people to dream big dreams and love without restraint.

Who Was Todd Keeling?

Todd Matthew Keeling was born on September 21, 1977, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE. He is survived by his children Delilah Skye Keeling, Asa Oschen Keeling, Brody Aiden Kai Keeling, Amelia Jane Keeling, and Henry Conrad Keeling; granddaughter, Ocean Josephine; his mother, Debb Andersen (Michael); father, Bob Keeling (Diane); grandmother, Lyle Keeling; brother, Dana Keeling (Doni); and their children, Bruce, Wesleigh and Trinity. He is reunited in spirit with his grandparents, Hank and Marilyn Kessler; and Robert Keeling, Sr.

Todd never crawled as a baby. He hit the ground running, and from the perch of a grocery cart, he charmed every person as he shouted a hearty “Hi”. He spent his life living between Omaha and Florida, both of which brought him different responsibilities and different joys. He cherished both families deeply.

Academics And Career

Graduating from Cocoa Beach High School, Todd’s heart remained tethered to his loved ones, illustrated poignantly, when he called his mother on her birthday to share in the awe of a Space Shuttle launch from Cape Canaveral. His infectious enthusiasm for life meant that he saw wonder and possibility in everything, from the mundane to the extraordinary.

Things that seemed like a burden to us, looked like an opportunity to him. He would talk to anyone, he would help anyone, and he would share what he had with anyone. If you needed anything, Todd was never off limits. He lived on Todd time, which drove us mostly crazy, but it never mattered, because when he finally arrived, Todd made up for it with his smile, jokes, and genuine light. Family and friends were one and the same to Todd, and his love knew no bounds. He was not simple and he was not complex. He was a guy who just wanted to show love and feel loved. Todd wanted everyone around him to laugh at his expense or yours. Todd’s childlike heart followed him through his life and kept him fearless, which scared the rest of us, but his true courage and his truest self came from knowing Jesus. He was not embarrassed to have deep conversations about faith and Heaven.
